DOUBLE GOLD AT GREAT TASTE AWARDS
Our best selling Lemon Curd and Strawberry Preserve were recently awarded GOLD awards at the Great Taste Awards.

Dart Valley Foods were delighted to receive news that they had won two gold awards at the recent Great Taste Awards, as well as two further bronze awards. The two gold award-winning products were Strawberry Preserve and Lemon Curd, which are amongst Dart Valley's best selling products. Bronze awards were presented for two other items in the range – Apple and Cinnamon Biscuits and Lime Marmalade.

The Great Taste Awards are regarded throughout the food industry as the 'Fine Food Oscars' and are organised by The Guild of Fine Food Retailers, an organisation that exists to promote independent speciality retailers and producers of fine foods. The Awards are the world's largest and most prestigious fine food awards and this year's competition consisted of over 3,500 entries. Over 150 experts, all drawn from food production, retailing, buying and specialist media, participate in judging the submitted products and every item is blind tasted against competitive entrants.

DART VALLEY SCOOPS GIFT OF THE YEAR AWARD
Two of our products were nominated for Gift of the Year Awards and our AX95 Christmas Triple Gift Pack won first prize in the Food and Drink Category.

We recently attended a glittering high profile ceremony at The Savoy Hotel in London to receive two prestigious awards - a Gift of the Year First Prize for AX95 Christmas Gift Pack, and a Highly Commended Award for NN05 Vertical Tipsy Rack. Comedienne, Ruby Wax, gave a very entertaining after dinner speech and awarded the winner's trophy.

The AX95 Christmas Gift Pack is a beautifully packaged selection of seasonally themed products, including Christmas Marmalade, Traditionally Baked Pure Butter Shortbread and Christmas Preserve. The NN05 Vertical Tipsy Rack is a contemporary styled chrome rack containing attractive bottles of both Extra Virgin Olive Oil with Chillies and Balsamic Vinegar with White Peppercorns. The design of the bottles is curved at the base, which allows them to be balanced perfectly on the table, hence the 'tipsy' name.

The Gift of the Year Awards are organised by the Giftware Association, who also jointly sponsor the event with Trade Promotion Services. The competition is designed to show just how vibrant, innovative and design-led the UK's gift industry is. A panel of experienced industry experts, including representatives from major department stores Debenhams and Marks & Spencer, judged over 1,000 submissions. There were fifteen judging categories.

Following a sumptuous six-course meal, the winners of the respective categories were invited on stage to accept an impressive trophy, which was presented by Ruby Wax and the sponsors. An extensive media campaign is also planned, with press coverage in various prominent trade publications.
